The 30s, 40s and 50s were decades of smart wardrobes comprised of posh layers of collared shirts, knitwear, and woolen trousers that differed in only a minor manner from the high street fashions of the times. Within the alpine sports clubs of the day, classic skiing ensembles often included an oxford shirt with cuffed sleeves which conveyed skiing’s then leisurely nature and the handsome appearance of its well-to-do enthusiasts.
Crafted of soft Italian wool flannel from Milior, the Alps & Meters Touring Oxford gets an update for fall.

Perfect for my level of activity.
Love the style, warmth and comfort
The more I wear this flannel the more I like it. I can tell we are going to be good friends. The fit and weight is great for a mid layer or light top layer. It’s feels great to move around in. I hope it never comes down to it but I think this flannel would take a bullet for me.
Love the fit and finish of this shirt. My only real issue with the design is that the inside of the collar could use a panel of less scratchy material. This would not be an issue if used as an overshirt--see sizing comments.
The wool/nylon blend is a great weight, and the snow-resistant panels are a great look. On the slopes, apres ski, around town, whatever. This shirt begs for a fine sipping whisky on the rocks and a roaring fire.
Awareness on the sizing: I had some challenges here, because the neck is sized so large. The shirt is really cut to be more of an overshirt, and the collar is sized to go around an inner shirt's collar. I wanted to wear as a regular shirt, so I sized down. This creates a pretty athletic or slim fit, but the arms are long enough and the collar works in medium.
For reference, I'm 6'2", 190 lbs, 43" chest and 35" waist. Large would be my usual size, but went with medium ultimately here. My dress shirt size is 16.5" x 35", and the arms on the medium were actually long enough. I will not machine wash or dry this--any shrinkage and it would be too small.
I recommend this, once adjusting for the sizing.
